The Surly Mermaid, a vibrant and busy restaurant in the beautiful Sidney by the sea is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a quick-paced bar/restaurant environment and possesses excellent cocktail knowledge.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages to customers
- Ensure all beverages are consistently prepared and presented to our standards
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area and ensure inventory is stocked
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including ingredients and allergens

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a busy bar/restaurant environment
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages
- Strong communication and customer service skills




- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
