Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies with precision and artistry
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Select fresh ingredients daily and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness
- Create visually appealing sushi presentations that enhance the dining experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines consistently for quality assurance
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of supply needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Classroom experience or formal training in Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation preferred
- Solid knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in ingredient preparation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
