Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is a commercial landscape company in Fort McMurray seeking a qualified GPS DOZER OPERATOR.
Requirements: experience a must, this is not a training position. Dependable transportation, willing to work long hours. Experience with GPS/machine control systems required. An operator that can run multiple machines is an asset (dozer/skid/excavator).
Shift is 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. OT after 8 hours and OT after 44 hours a week.
Applicant must have accommodations in Fort McMurray. All our projects are in town and no work is done at "site."
Pay Rate is $35.00-40.00/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities include:
Operate GPS-guided dozer for grading, stripping, and fine grading to design surface
Ability to grade topsoil, sub grade, and finish grade to plan/model
Set up and calibrate GPS machine control systems, troubleshoot basic GPS issues
Ability to read grading stakes and plans
Operate equipment safely and efficiently
Basic understanding of safety paperwork, FLHA,
Ground disturbance is an asset
Comfortable with safety inspections, loading dozer onto trailer and strapping down for moving from site to site
Ability to communicate with co-workers and take direction from supervisors
Ability to work under pressure
Physically able to perform all physical actions pertinent to the job, and equipment operation
