Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive cost estimates
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare accurate bids and proposals
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, pricing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather competitive quotes and negotiate terms
- Analyze project risks, contingencies, and allowances to ensure accurate budgeting
- Prepare detailed bid packages and present estimates clearly to stakeholders
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities for future reference and audits
