Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires a robust focus on customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations around the Greater Ottawa Area.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Experience in driving a cargo van with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing delivery schedules effectively.
