Owner Operator

Overview:

As an owner operator you will be completing deliveries through the lower mainland using your

own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

- Complete deliveries as assigned by dispatch

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck,

- Ensure that all documentation is in order when driving and report all safety hazards and

accidents

- Ensure the accurate recording of cargo information, distance logs, fuel consumption

and expenses into logbooks

- Additional duties, as required

- Foster a safe work culture for all procedures, including but not limited to:

o wearing PPE if required.

o reporting all injuries, claims or near-misses, unsafe or hazardous conditions.

Requirements:

- Must own your own vehicle that is 10 years old or newer.

- Local experience with good written & verbal skills in English

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with an abstract with under 6 points for the past 3 years.

- Comfortable and able to drive in all types of weather conditions.

- Criminal background check and drug & alcohol test will be required.

- You must always represent Number 8 in a professional and courteous manner.
