**Job Title:** Mechanic

**Shifts:** Monday to Friday MAD Rotating Schedule

**Pay Rate:** 30$/Hour

**Responsibilities**

+ Prepare machines for operation and shutdowns using setup documentation.
+ Execute setup and changeover of packaging equipment.
+ Inspect and store changeover parts, ensuring they are defect-free and clean.
+ Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of machines post-setup and changeover.
+ Participate in 5S and perform required repairs.
+ Adjust electrical switches and sensors as needed.
+ Report maintenance needs to the Reliability Leader and enter work requests in CMMS.
+ Perform preventative and on-demand maintenance for optimal equipment performance.
+ Record mechanical work in equipment logs as per departmental SOPs.
+ Verify equipment operation after interventions.
+ Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment issues.
+ Assist in developing packaging setup instructions and changeover techniques.
+ Communicate any centerline outages or changes to the Reliability Leader.
+ Collaborate with Maintenance Mechanics and other team members.
+ Perform other duties as directed.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
+ Mechanical aptitude, preferably validated by references or post-secondary education.
+ 6 months experience in a manufacturing setting, GMP experience is an asset.
+ Ability to work with tag-out systems and maintain safety consciousness.
+ Experience as a Packaging Line Technician/Set-Up Operator/Mechanic.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Grade 12 or equivalent education required.
+ Post-secondary education in a mechanical or electrical field is an asset.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and fellow employees.
+ Capability to understand and refer to equipment manuals and working drawings.
+ Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brockville, ON.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
