Our client, a heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer, is seeking an Estimator to handle the technical estimating of projects.

This position offers a key opportunity for career growth: within six months, you will also serve as a Configurator to optimize and automate sales and production tools.

- Analyze customer technical quotes, create sales opportunities, and build cost structures (bid BOMs) in the ERP system;
- Validate technical feasibility and establish prices for changes to in-stock units; document changes;
- Calculate carrier prices, process discounts and estimate special requests;
- Review the final BOMs required for technical drawings and the purchasing department;
- Lead pre-build meetings for Quebec dealerships.Configuration and Systems Components (within 6 months)
- Ensure maintenance, updates, and training for sales representatives.





Integrate new truck models and standard options to reduce special requests;
- Develop recent sales support tools (quote generators) and analyze potential standardization;
- Serve as an internal resource for the system, maintain BOM options, and prepare for future system migrations.

Requirements:

- DEP or DEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Estimating or related field;
- At least 2 years of experience in cost estimation in any type of industry;
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications;
- Remote work: 1 day out of 5;
- French, English (technical documentation).
