Metal & Wood Products (1958) Ltd. is a custom metal fabrication company specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-end architectural metalwork throughout the Lower Mainland.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Metal Installation Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys solving challenges on-site, and wants to work on unique, custom projects rather than repetitive production work.

As an installer, you will be the final point of contact with our clients and play an important role in ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard. Most installations are completed as part of a two-person team.

- Art sculptures
- Outdoor kitchens
- Glass systems
- Decorative architectural features
- Mainly Residential Installations

No two projects are the same, providing the opportunity to continually develop your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

- Install custom architectural metalwork according to drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret installation drawings and project details.
- Plan installations, including tools, equipment, and materials required.
- Measure, fit, cut, sand, and adjust materials for precise installation.
- Safely operate power tools, hand tools, fastening systems, adhesives, and epoxies.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected job site.
- Perform quality checks to ensure installations meet company standards.
- Work efficiently with team members to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a full-size company transit van.
- Previous installation, construction,



or related trades experience.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and installation plans.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of regularly lifting 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to deliver high-quality work.
