Vinyl Wrap Toronto is looking for a capable and dependable Graphic Designer to join our vehicle graphics and wide-format team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who enjoys seeing their work move beyond the computer screen and become finished vehicle lettering, decals, signs, and printed graphics.

Adobe Illustrator is the main software used in our shop. A strong foundation in Illustrator, file preparation, typography, layout, colour, and working with vector graphics is essential. Previous wide-format printing or sign-shop experience is preferred, but we are also open to an intermediate designer who has the right foundation and is interested in becoming highly proficient in print production.

What You Will Be Doing

- Designing and preparing vehicle lettering, decals, signs, and other commercial graphics
- Setting up production-ready files in Adobe Illustrator
- Preparing artwork for printing, contour cutting, and solid-colour vinyl cutting
- Checking dimensions, scale, resolution, bleeds, cut paths, and overall file accuracy
- Operating a Mimaki 64-inch print-and-cut system using RasterLink RIP software
- Laminating printed graphics using a SEAL wide-format laminator
- Assisting with trimming, weeding, masking, mounting, and finishing
- Organizing production files and maintaining accurate job information
- Communicating with the production and installation team to ensure work is completed correctly

What We Are Looking For

- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- A good understanding of vector artwork, layers, paths, typography, and file setup
- Intermediate or advanced graphic design experience
- Wide-format printing, vehicle graphics, signage,



or print-production experience is strongly preferred
- Careful attention to measurements, spelling, alignment, and production details
- Dependable, organized, mature, and comfortable taking responsibility for completed work
- Able to manage several active jobs without losing track of details
- Willing to learn the practical production side of the graphics industry
- Comfortable occasionally assisting with hands-on finishing and production tasks

Training

We are not expecting a new employee to know every part of our system on their first day. We are looking for someone with a solid design foundation, valuable judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.

Compensation

$25–$32 per hour, depending on relevant design, wide-format printing, and production experience.

Higher compensation within the range will be considered for applicants who can confidently prepare files and operate wide-format print, cut, and laminating equipment with limited supervision.

While full vehicle wraps are part of our work, much of our day-to-day production involves carefully designed and accurately produced lettering and decal projects for businesses throughout the Toronto area.
