Are You Our Next Career Counsellor?

Using your strong counselling skills, you will support clients considering career transition, impacting both their personal and professional wellbeing. Our clients are typically already working (from entry level roles to professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs), but are often feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or uncertain about their career direction. This is a counselling role, not a role designed to help clients find/gain employment. You will support clients as they develop their career identity and navigate their career and life path.

This opportunity is designed for psychologists seeking to establish a long-term, full-time private practice. Qualifications:

- Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologists (Form B) in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
- Must have obtained a master's degree in counselling or clinical psychology
- Strict adherence to CHCPBC Standards and Professional Conduct
- Proof of skilled liability insurance
- Excellent English communication skills, other language skills an asset

Responsibilities:

- Provide remote, online career counselling sessions for clients,



as well as personal counselling if skills match client needs
- Respond to phone and web inquiries, providing information about our services and engaging clients
- Coordinate, interpret, and debrief client assessments during counselling sessions
- Provide excellent client support, including ongoing client relationship management
- Actively contribute to the growth of the practice through community relationships, presentations, networking, referral development, workshops, writing, or other professional initiatives
- Participate in training sessions and practitioner meetings as required
- Attend quarterly team meetings

- Demonstrated success building client trust, engagement, and retention is considered a significant asset
- Willingness to learn new skills and tools, with openness to new ideas and processes
- Motivated to provide exemplary service to clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and active listening ability
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong team player, personable, collaborative, and friendly
- Able to work responsibly and independently in a fast-paced, growing practice
- Excellent skills in planning, organization, follow through, time management, and attention to detail
- Open to development feedback and development opportunities made available through the practice
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly; experience with JANE is considered an asset

Compensation:

We're committed to offering fair, competitive compensation based on current market standards. This role can be structured either as an employee position (all hours paid) or a contract position (paid on billable time only). The compensation range listed in this posting reflects both possibilities: your actual pay will depend on which arrangement you're in, and, for contractors, your agreed-upon session rate.
