Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role is essential in supporting agricultural operations, landscaping projects, and residential gardens, contributing to sustainable water management practices.
Duties
- Install and maintain various types of irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and surface irrigation.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks, blockages, or malfunctions.
- Repair or replace damaged components including pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
- Adjust system settings to optimize water usage based on plant needs and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with landscape architects and clients to design efficient irrigation layouts.
- Maintain accurate records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Educate clients on proper irrigation practices and water conservation techniques.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding water usage and irrigation practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in irrigation installation or maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with various irrigation technologies and techniques is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for diagnosing issues effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- A valid driver's license is preferred for traveling between job sites.
