We are currently seeking a Relief Pharmacy Assistant for a 1-month contract at a non-retail specialty pharmacy in Edmonton, Alberta, with opportunities for ongoing extension. Position Overview
Role: Relief Pharmacy Assistant
Location: Edmonton, AB
Start Date / Duration: Immediate start for 1 month, with extensions available
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
Weekly Hours: 37.5
Pharmacy System: Kroll
Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour
Setting: Specialty / Non-retail Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, package, and label specialty medications
- Sustain a production rate of approximately 30 prescriptions labelled per hour
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with day-to-day workflow tasks
- Maintain precision and strong attention to detail in all duties




- Prioritize tasks to meet production goals and deadlines
- Follow pharmacy procedures and uphold quality standards

Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is preferred
- Experience with Kroll is considered an asset
- Ability to consistently label 30 prescriptions per hour
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Capacity to stay focused in a fast-paced production environment
- Dependable, professional, and collaborative
