Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver for local deliveries, offering the opportunity to return home nightly. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong driving background, who are committed to safety and efficiency. The driver will be responsible for transporting freight within the local area, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates must possess a valid commercial driver’s license and have 4 years full time over the road experience.

Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to freight handling, heavy equipment operation, and driving procedures.

Qualifications





- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record, and proven over the road experience of at least 4 years
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures.
- Clean drivers abstract preferred and criminal check required
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety awareness.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as required. This position offers an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking consistent local routes with the convenience of returning home nightly while utilizing their driving expertise and operational skills.

Pay: $68,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
