Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Batcher for our Food Production team to ensure the efficient and accurate preparation of food products in a manufacturing environment. The Batcher will be responsible for measuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients according to specified recipes and safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality production processes, adhering to food safety regulations, and supporting overall manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to sanitation and food safety practices.
Duties
- Accurately measure and combine ingredients following established recipes and production guidelines.
- Operate packaging equipment to prepare finished products for distribution.
- Use forklifts safely to transport raw materials and finished goods within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor production lines for quality control issues and report discrepancies promptly.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Keep detailed records of batch processes, ingredient usage, and quality checks.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food processing, machinery operation, and forklift use.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while ensuring product integrity.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry manufacturing or processing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of packaging techniques and equipment operation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and safety procedures is desirable.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems relevant to manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and recipe adjustments.
- Understanding of sanitation standards and food safety regulations such as HACCP or GMP.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced production setting is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
