Pay: CA$19.00 per hour (increasing to $20.00/hour after successful completion of probationary period)

We are currently seeking Security Guards with valid Reliability Status (or higher security clearance) to join our team at a construction site in Ottawa.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced security professionals who are comfortable working in a construction environment and meeting the requirements of a secured client site.

Site Start Date: August 2026

Shift Requirements:

- Days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Overnights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Shifts will be assigned across all seven days of the week based on site requirements, operational needs, and employee availability.
- Multiple positions available (approximately 12–15 Guards required)

Important – Reliability Status Required

Applicants must hold a valid Reliability Status or higher security clearance to be considered.

Reliability Status is a federal security screening that goes beyond a standard criminal record check. It assesses an individual's reliability and trustworthiness through employment history, references, background information, and other screening requirements.

Candidates must have a valid clearance or be eligible to obtain/transfer their current clearance for this assignment.

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Valid First Aid/CPR + AED Certificate
- Valid Reliability Status or higher security clearance (mandatory) Proof of security clearance will be required prior to the interview or hiring process.
- Minimum 5 years of residency in Canada preferred for clearance eligibility
- English fluency (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand, walk,



and conduct patrols for extended periods throughout the shift
- CSA-approved steel toe footwear required (construction site requirement)
- Reliable transportation to and from the site for scheduled shifts
- Valid SIN within 3 days of hire (+ work/study permit, if applicable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using technology and learning security reporting systems
- Professional communication and customer service skills

Assets

- Previous construction site security experience
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and regulations
- Working at Heights Certificate
- WHMIS Certificate
- Additional language skills (French or other languages)

Duties

- Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols of the construction site
- Monitor site access and verify authorized personnel
- Escort contractors, visitors, and deliveries as required
- Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies
- Support emergency procedures and provide first aid when required
- Ensure compliance with site security procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned

Wage

- Starting rate: $19.00/hour
- Increase to $20.00/hour after successful completion of 3-month probationary period
