Counter Staff/Barista Job Description
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Prepare and serve food items according to company standards
-Prepare hot and cold beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash registers
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety guidelines are followed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Strong math skills, including basic arithmetic and retail math
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate cash registers
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Flexibility to between 9:30 am -6:30 pm (open 7 days a week)
-10-20 hours a week.
Weekend availability(BOTH Saturday and Sunday) is required as shifts will be rotating with staff. If you are not available weekends, this position is not for you.
-Must be mature and responsible and able to work with minimal supervision.
