Job Title: Java Backend Developer (Banking Domain)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with a strong background in the Banking/Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable Java-based microservices, REST APIs, Kafka-based integrations, and MongoDB applications while working in an enterprise environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–14 years of backend development experience with robust Java (8/11/17) expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, including service decomposition and API design.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, JSON, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producer, Consumer, Partitioning).
- Strong expertise in MongoDB, including document modeling, indexing, aggregation framework, CRUD operations, and performance tuning.
- Experience with OpenShift and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of database design and SQL query optimization.
- Experience integrating with upstream and downstream systems using REST APIs.
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices.




- Build and implement RESTful APIs following enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries for transactional and reporting applications.
- Design and manage MongoDB schemas, indexes, and queries for high-performance applications.
- Develop Kafka-based messaging solutions for event-driven architectures.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, resiliency, and performance of backend services.
- Implement robust exception handling, logging, monitoring, and fault-tolerant design patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to cloud-native application development.
- Experience with application performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
