Overview
Frank & Gino's Italian Grill in Truro, NS is seeking to fill the role of Host/Hostess. This is a part-time position with potential to lead to full-time. No previous restaurant experience is required. We are seeking someone who, first and foremost, is reliable and has a strong work-ethic.

Duties

Primary responsibilities will be greeting and seating all guests in a warm and friendly manner, giving guests a great first impression, assisting in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant, and as guests are departing, thanking them for dining with us. Secondary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, answering the phone, taking reservations, bussing and setting tables, processing takeout orders, and running food.

The proper candidate must be able to communicate with guests in a positive and upbeat manner, demonstrate confidence,



and encourage guests to feel comfortable, relaxed and special. The candidate must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to ten (10) hours in length, to transport and carry heavy objects, have strong multi-tasking skills, be able to listen attentively to guests and other team members, and communicate effectively with guests and other team members in a patient and qualified manner.

The candidate must be willing to work split shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$17.75 per hour
