Account Manager - Transformer & Dielectric Fluids

Reports To: Director of Sales Location: Remote / Field-Based (Canada) Travel: Approximately 50% Employment Type: Full time

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and grow assigned accounts to achieve sales and business plan objectives
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, applications, and market segments
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers
- Promote Soltex's product portfolio, with emphasis on transformer oils and dielectric fluids
- Monitor customer needs, market trends, pricing, and competitive activity
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and account documentation
- Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies to meet territory goals
- Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance and expand share of wallet
- Collaborate with internal sales, technical, and customer service teams
- Represent Soltex at industry events, trade shows, and conferences as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to forecasting, credit, expenses, and ethics




- Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in the chemical and/or transformer and dielectric industry, with preference for experience in:
- Transformer oils
- Dielectric fluids
- Lubricants or specialty fluids
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Proven ability to manage a territory, prioritize accounts, and meet sales objectives
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, field-based environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adaptable to new systems

Physical & Travel Requirements

- Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds as required
