Duties

- Process and record incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Perform account reconciliations to verify outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports to monitor overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts through negotiation and follow-up
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure proper data entry and smooth financial operations
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to address billing inquiries, clarify payment terms, and provide exceptional customer service
- Analyze account data to identify trends or issues that may affect cash flow or financial reporting
- Maintain detailed records of transactions,

Experience

- Proven experience in accounts receivable management within a financial services or related industry
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential; familiarity with other systems like Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is a plus
- Strong bookkeeping skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles and account analysis techniques
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data and perform account reconciliation tasks
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and team members
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger functions
