We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a companion to gentlemen who require assistance in order to do the activities that fulfill their lives. Families are requesting male caregivers.. The high quality candidate will have to be physically fit and enjoy activities like hiking, pickleball, pool, table tennis, golf and gardening. Our clients have the ability to walk at a fast pace and need someone with them enjoy these activities with them.
PSW or HCA certificate required as well as CPR first aid and PIC
Minimum 3 years experience required

Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to male clients.
- Carry out fun daily activities to keep the client fit, engaged and healthy
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation
- Help clients with household chores and gardening including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behaviour
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Provide assistance with dementia care and memory support
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure the highest quality of care
Qualifications
- Professional experience supporting people with various stages of dementia.
- Ability to provide patient-centred care with empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
-PIC with vulnerable sector search is required -First Aid/CPR is required
