We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care to our clients and families. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care environments and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and supporting children and families’ well-being in a respectful and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist children with regulation, speech support, social interaction and connection
- Create positive rapport with families, therapists and child
- Create fun engaging activities to target speech and socialization goals
- Experience
- Prior experience in home care or group child care settings preferred
- Knowledge of speech support, strategies for social connections
- Experience with children with exceptional needs, ASD, ADHD, moderate to severe speech delays
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with special needs
- Previous experience working in a disability support environment is a plus but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
