We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team and drive store success through effective leadership and operational excellence. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, managing sales teams, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Support the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new team members to foster a skilled and motivated staff.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Manage sales floor activities such as merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities.
- Oversee shift management by coordinating schedules, assigning tasks, and supervising team members to ensure smooth store functioning.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; handle cashiering duties accurately.
- Implement operational policies related to payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory control to maintain financial accuracy.




- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training initiatives to promote professional development within the team.
- Collaborate with management on marketing efforts and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures at all times.

Skills

- Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within the retail industry with strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage managerial conversations effectively.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales calculations and cash handling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of retail math principles including pricing strategies, sales analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience in recruiting, employee orientation, training & development to build high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with retail industry sales techniques such as upselling, cross-selling, and promotional merchandising.
- Demonstrated ability in managing operations including stock replenishment, inventory control, merchandising standards, and store presentation.
- Customer service expertise with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences that foster loyalty.
