Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bengali Speaking Home Support Worker to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients who require support with daily activities. As a Home Support Worker, you will be the trusted presence that makes a positive difference in clients’ lives by delivering personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Support clients with mobility challenges through protected lifting techniques and transfer assistance.




- Monitor health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.

Requirements

- Fluent in Bengali with excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English.
- Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical aspects of caregiving tasks.
- Experience with medication administration, meal preparation, and general nursing duties preferred.
- Compassionate attitude with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow care plans precisely.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a plus for client visits.
