About Leaningonlocals

Leaningonlocals is a modern hyper-local service marketplace connecting local residents with trusted home service professionals. Our ecosystem operates through three seamless technology tools:

- Vendor App: Empowers service providers to manage bookings, leads, and schedules.
- Customer App: Allows residents to easily discover and book trusted local pros.
- Admin Console: Ensures quality control through verification, background checks, and platform analytics.

We are currently launching in Dundas, Ancaster, and Hamilton, with a vision to revolutionize how local communities support local businesses.

The Role

We are looking for the face of Leaningonlocals—a true torchbearer and representative for our platform. In this co-founding role, you will lead our ground-game efforts to build trust, bring vendors onto the platform, and embed Leaningonlocals into the heart of the local trade community.

Key Responsibilities

- Vendor Onboarding: Actively prospect, engage, and onboard key home service providers across Dundas, Ancaster, and Hamilton (e.g., handymen, house cleaners, landscapers, plumbers, painters).
- Community & Union Partnerships: Brainstorm and lead outreach strategies to build strong affiliations with local trade unions, business associations, and community groups.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the platform at local events, networking sessions, and direct community touchpoints.

Work closely with the core team to share real-world vendor and customer feedback to help refine the user experience on our apps.

Who You Are

- Connected Locally: Deep ties or strong familiarity with the Hamilton, Ancaster, or Dundas communities.
- Relationship Builder: Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to connect with blue-collar trade professionals and local business owners.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and excited about building something from the ground up.
- Strategic Thinker: Comfort brainstorm strategy and executing tactical sales/outreach plans simultaneously.

Compensation & Perks

- 15% Profit Share: Earn a 15% share of total platform profits as the platform scales and generates revenue.
