SW Construction is looking for experienced Bricklayer to join our team in Scarborough. If you take pride in precise, durable craftsmanship and enjoy hands-on work — from residential fireplaces to decorative garden walls — we'd love to hear from you.
This is an on-site position; remote work is not available. Travel is Required to Project Sites.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units
- Read blueprints and sketches to estimate materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project
- Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials for veneer facing
- Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative masonry installations
- Construct residential and commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to spec using hand and power tools
- Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
- Work safely at heights, on scaffolding, or on swing stages
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of masonry experience
- Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Comfortable with physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, extended standing, and bending/kneeling/crouching
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A reliable team player with a client-focused approach
