Hexafusion Canada Inc. is a Vancouver-based IT Managed Service Provider. We deliver cybersecurity, cloud, AI automation and IT support to small and mid-sized Canadian businesses.
We are hiring a Business Development Representative - permanent, part-time to start. You will own the top of our sales funnel: build the target list, run the outreach, book the meeting - then sit in that meeting with our founder, running the business half of the conversation while he handles the technical half.
Mornings only. No evenings, no weekends, no on-call.
HOURS, LOCATION AND PAY
Permanent, part time: 20 hours per week - Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (including a 30-minute unpaid meal break). The first 3 months are probationary, with a written review at 90 days (see Where this role goes).
Hybrid: your first four weeks are at our downtown Vancouver office while we train you on our services and tools. After that, Mondays and Wednesdays are in-office; Tuesday and Thursday mornings are remote, with afternoons reserved for in-person client meetings across Metro Vancouver alongside our founder.
Expected wage: CA$27.00-CA$34.00 per hour, plus uncapped commission. Commission is not prorated: you earn the full rate on every deal you source, whether you worked twenty hours or forty.
This is an English-language client-facing role: you will be selling, presenting and writing to Canadian business owners in English every shift.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build target account lists in Apollo - filtering by industry, headcount, technology stack and geography
- Write and run outbound email sequences, documenting a lawful consent basis under Canada's anti-spam legislation for every address before it enters a sequence
- Make 25-35 outbound calls per shift to owners, operations managers and office managers, within the calling-hour rules for each prospect's time zone
- Follow up on inbound enquiries and referrals within one business day
- Book 2-3 qualified discovery meetings per week
- Attend those meetings with our founder and run the discovery conversation
- Keep HubSpot current - every call,
email and next step logged the same day
WHAT YOU NEED
- Legally eligible to work in Canada on an ongoing basis
- 2+ years of B2B outbound sales, business development or appointment setting, with a track record you can talk through
- Genuinely comfortable cold calling - this role is phone-first
- Able to write a four-sentence email that gets a reply, and to deliver a clear client-facing presentation
- Able to discuss IT support, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and AI at a business-outcome level (we will teach you the technical depth)
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence, or an equivalent exchangeable within the ICBC 90-day window, and access to a vehicle for client visits across Metro Vancouver - mileage is reimbursed
NICE TO HAVE Experience selling for an MSP, IT reseller, telecom or B2B security vendor. Hands-on with Apollo, HubSpot, Outreach or Salesloft. An existing network of small-business owners in Metro Vancouver.
WHERE THIS ROLE GOES
We are starting part-time on purpose - we would rather prove the motion together with twenty focused hours than guess at forty. At 90 days we review your results against targets you will have in writing from day one. Where the work is proven, the role grows: strong results move your hours toward full-time; conversion to full-time also reopens the benefits conversation as the business supports it; consistently closing alongside the founder is the path to a full-cycle Account Executive role.
We will not promise you a timeline we cannot guarantee. We will tell you the exact numbers that trigger the conversation, put them in your contract, and review them on a fixed date.
BEING STRAIGHT WITH YOU
This is a hands-on sales seat at a small company, and there is no benefits plan today. What there is:
a permanent role, 4% vacation pay on every cheque from day one, mileage reimbursement, uncapped commission, a written and dated path to full-time, and a real seat at the table - you will be in live client meetings from month one, learning how an MSP is actually sold rather than reading from a script.
