The position has the on-going responsibility to coordinate the day-to-day patient care activities and the use of staff, equipment and resources for the unit/program. This position also plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy,



competency guidelines, policies and the CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Graduation from a recognized nursing program. Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Three (3) years recent clinical nursing experience, including supervisory experience, in a relevant clinical setting.

Skills And Abilities - Demonstrated clinical competence in the relevant clinical setting.

- Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize the use of equipment, staff, and resources.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. There will be a 6-week orientation program that will take place prior to the start date.
