Kickstart is a passive, spring-loaded lower-limb exoskeleton that uses bio-inspired Exotendon™ technology to assist hip flexion during the swing phase of gait. It requires no electronics or batteries, is custom-fitted to each patient, and can be put on and taken off in under five minutes, making it a practical, affordable alternative to powered exoskeletons for stroke and neurological gait rehabilitation.

We're building a clinician-facing team to help therapists and clinic owners experience the device first-hand and understand the evidence behind it.

You'll travel to hospitals and rehabilitation clinics to demonstrate the device, fit it to patients, train therapists on its use, and clearly communicate the clinical evidence supporting it. You'll spend most of your time on the road and on-site, working directly with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehab assistants, clinic owners, and their patients.

This is a hands-on clinical role for someone who is comfortable in a rehab setting, credible with clinicians, and persuasive when explaining why an intervention works.

Perform patient fittings, ensuring correct sizing, setup, and safe, comfortable use

Familiarity with rehabilitation and stroke-care landscape

What Makes You a Great Fit

You're clinically credible and people trust your judgment.

You're just as comfortable fitting a device on a patient as you are discussing evidence to a room of clinicians or a clinic owner. You're self-directed, organized, and happy managing your own schedule and territory across the region.

Territory & Travel

This role covers Southern Ontario. Regular daytime travel to client sites is expected, so access to a car is essential. Business kilometres are reimbursed separately at the CRA rate (see Compensation below).

Compensation

This is a per diem position - you're paid a set daily rate for each clinical visit day, with no fixed weekly hours. It's well suited to a clinician who wants flexible, rewarding work alongside other commitments.

Daily rate: commensurate with your clinical credential and experience. Higher rates apply to regulated professionals (PT/OT) and to candidates with neurological rehabilitation experience. The specific rate is confirmed at the offer stage.

Half-day rate: available for shorter visits.

Mileage: business kilometres reimbursed at the current CRA rate — 73¢/km for the first 5,000 km and 67¢/km thereafter (2026). This reimbursement is separate from your daily rate.

Travel per diem (optional/where applicable): a modest daily allowance for meals on longer road days.

We're happy to discuss the full structure with candidates who are a solid fit. To apply, send your resume and a short note about your clinical background and any experience with neurological rehabilitation or assistive technology to [email protected].
