Salary: Salary positing is on the established grid and is pro-rated to Canopy’s fiscal year, $71,340.67 to $90,268.70

The Behavioural Consultation Services – Fee for Service (BCS-FFS) Clinical Supervisor (CS) works as part of the Leadership team and the BCS FFS team to ensure the organization’s vision, mission, core values as well as strategic directions are upheld and achieved throughout the delivery of clinical services. The CS maintains a specialized caseload and provides clinical guidance and expertise to a team that may include Behaviour Technicians (BT) and Behaviour Consultants (BC) to support children and adults diagnosed with one or more of the following: Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, Dual-Diagnoses, Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Services are provided within Canopy’s catchment area including; Peterborough, Haliburton, Kawartha Pine Ridge (HKPR) and Northumberland, Durham areas.

The CS is responsible for all clinical services within BCS FFS and oversees treatment integrity of programming through regular field supervision ensuring effective evidence-based and ethical practices are delivered and maintained throughout service delivery.

Under the direction of Clinical Manager, BCS key accountabilities include:

- Provide clinical oversight for advanced behavioural services and training using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) within a biopsychosocial framework to individuals, families, and service providers that contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life of persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

- Provide clinical direction and expertise necessary to meet the needs of the wide variety of service users supported within BCS. Researches and/or seeks external collaboration to provide evidence-based practice for novel or uniquely complex service needs

- Review and approve BCS clinical programming material to ensure that recommendations are consistent with ABA, the biopsychosocial model, and best practices for people with developmental disabilities. Clinical programming material can include training materials, formal reports, behaviour programming, case notes and other documentation in Client Data Manager (CDM).

- Participate and Co-Chair BCS team meetings with Clinical Manager as directed. Foster ongoing discussions about internal system improvements and best practices within BCS and provide ministry updates as applicable





- Support Clinical Manager in facilitation and determination of training requirements for increasing the staff’s knowledge as well as training for service user and caregivers regarding existing, new or changing elements of BCS-FFS program.

Education, Training and Experience:

- Master’s Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, or equivalent.

- Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont.) Certification required.

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role within the field of ABA.

- 5+ years’ experience in consultation or short-term consultation experience.

- Project management and leadership experience.

- Demonstrated experience of using best practice in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

- Extensive working knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis theory and direct experience in using best practices in working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

- Superior knowledge, understanding and experience following MCCSS Quality Assurance Measures.

- Annual completion of a Criminal Background Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).

- Safe Management -Crisis Intervention training

- First Aid CPR Level C and ASSIST Training.

- Valid G-Class driver’s license for the Province of Ontario, access to reliable transportation and have valid proof of automobile insurance with driving for business purposes and a minimum liability of two million dollars.
