Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor as a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will work closely in Production. The successful candidate must be willing to multitask and cross-train on all machines within the cell, as required. This position is a day shift position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform own set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC Machines.
- Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments, cutter changes and self-inspection.
- Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision and share updates as required.
- Perform work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.
- Support and promote continuous improvement,
5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 axis CNC machinist / programmer
- Min 5 years experience
- 40 hours a week Mon - Fri
- Familiarity with Heidenhein controls DMG DMU machines a plus
- Okuma machines
- Fanuc controls a plus
- Autodesk Fusion 360 Programming familiarity
- Open Mind Hypermill Programming familiarity
Salary Range: $30-32/hr for Machinist & $35-37/hr for Programmers
