Collective Reflections Photographer/Videographer Time Commitment: 2-7 hours per week

The Social Issues Commission (SIC) seeks to facilitate dialogue, education, and engagement on all matters related to equity, identity, and anti-oppression.

Collective

Reflections is an annual publication that strives to represent the diversity of Queen's students through poetry, prose, visual art, and all other printable mediums. Its mission is to provide a forum for creative expression within the Queen's and Kingston communities on a variety of topics and vectors of identity.

Collective

Reflections publishes submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics: disability and accessibility; racism and anti-racism; mental health/illness; Queer issues; and feminism. The Photographer/Videographer leads creative photoshoots with contributors, captures promotional content, and documents Collective Reflections events to visually represent the publication’s themes and community. CoRe Members will work alongside the Editor(s)-in-Chief to promote the publication,



encourage student submissions, and curate the final publication.

Job Requirements Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures and ethical standards Communicate regular updates to the Editor(s)-in-Chief regarding photoshoots Be familiar with and implement the mandate of Collective Reflections in creative work Liaise with creative partners, including photographers, models, and other collaborators Brainstorm photoshoot ideas when needed Coordinate with editors on the layout of the photoshoots in the final publication Attend AMS volunteer training and Social Issues Commission volunteer training Attend and fully participate in all in-person and virtual meetings Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively Strive to foster a warm, comfortable and respectful atmosphere for all Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement

Complete other duties as assigned
