Position Events Team Member Reports To: Events Team Supervisor and Manager, Programming & Events Last Updated: July 2026 Qualifications: A full or part time daytime student at Sheridan College with a GPA of at least 2.5. Must be enrolled for the full 2025/2026 academic year.
Term of Office: August 2026 – April 2027 Mandatory Training: August 27 & 31 & September 2025 Location: Davis Campus (In-person).
Hours: Up to 15 hours/week during SSU operating hours.
Pay: $17.87/hour, pay day is biweekly on Fridays. SCOPE AND NATURE

The Events Team Members are responsible for enriching the student experience beyond academics. As an important part of the position, the Events Team Members will execute events campus-wide and act as a representative of the SSU to ensure Sheridan students have the opportunity to participate in fun and engaging events to enrich themselves socially and culturally.
Specific Responsibilities
Execution of Welcome Week, Orientation, and January Frosh & Year-end events Set up and take down of all events
Work pub nights, day/night events, off-campus events, concerts, etc.
Prize gathering and distribution
Work with Events Team Supervisor and Team Leads to organize roles and assignments for SSU approved events
Attend regular team meetings
Represent SSU and act professionally in accordance with our SSU Corporate Policies and Sheridan College’s Policies
Ensuring we are maintaining a clean and safe workplace
Knowledge on Student Union Services Motivate, encourage, and support event team members, coordinators, and any volunteers
Represent the students at Sheridan College in all matters as required and report as necessary
Any other duties as assigned
