Your Opportunity: Reporting to the Supervisor for Environmental Services and Hospitality, this Housekeeping Worker performs qualified routine cleaning in all patients, public and office areas according to the Position Description and adheres to Infection Control standards provided by the Environmental Services department.

Additional Required Qualifications: Ability to perform specialized cleaning procedures in isolation areas. High standard of cleanliness and sanitation with strong attention to detail. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fluent in English.
Basic computer skills are a necessity. Ability to work as part of a team and also independently. Possess good time management skills, able to follow directions, work to deadlines, and have attention to detail.
Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position; able to stand for long periods of time and ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. Possess the fortitude to work in a hospital setting. Valid 3-month Criminal Records Check.
Work shift hours of 0830 – 1645 and 1400 – 2215 as required.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous cleaning experiences in a health care setting preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and training in customer relations. WHMIS certificate.
