Role Description As a Financial Advisor at CIBC in West Island, you will provide personalized financial advice and solutions to clients, helping them manage their banking, credit, investment, and insurance needs. You will conduct client meetings, assess financial goals and risk tolerance, and recommend appropriate products and strategies to support long-term financial wellbeing. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, performing financial reviews, identifying opportunities for cross-selling, and ensuring a high standard of service and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with colleagues across branches and business units to deliver coordinated support and leverage CIBC’s digital tools and resources. This is a full-time,



on-site role that requires active engagement with clients and the local community.

Qualifications

Strong client advisory and relationship management skills, with the ability to understand financial goals and provide tailored recommendations.

Knowledge of retail banking products, credit solutions, investments, and insurance, with the ability to explain options in clear, accessible language.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, presentation abilities, and skilled written and verbal communication.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client financial situations, evaluate risk, and develop appropriate strategies and plans.

Proficiency with digital banking tools, financial planning software, and common office applications to support efficient client service and documentation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, demonstrating accountability, integrity, and a focus on client outcomes.

Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., mutual fund license, financial planning or securities accreditation) are an asset.

Previous experience in financial services, banking, or advisory roles, with familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Comfort working in an on-site branch environment in West Island, with flexibility to support client needs during branch operating hours.
