Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their flooring needs and provide tailored product recommendations
- Conduct product demonstrations and showcase features through engaging presentations and demos
- Assist customers with inside sales, including upselling premium options and complementary products
- Manage customer accounts, process transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, and handle cashing procedures accurately
- Utilize SketchUp or CAD tools to help clients visualize flooring layouts within their spaces
- Negotiate pricing and terms effectively to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and maintaining attractive product presentations
- Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives to promote flooring solutions and special offers
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain organizational skills to keep track of inventory, product samples, and client information
Experience
- Prior experience in outside sales or retail sales, preferably within renovation, construction, or high-end sales environments
- Familiarity with SketchUp, CAD software, or similar visualization tools is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are advantageous
- Background in renovation or construction enhances product knowledge and customer trust
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and account management demonstrates operational competence
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and basic math skills for accurate pricing and measurements
- Proven ability to upsell products through effective sales techniques and product demos
- Customer service experience that highlights organizational skills, patience, and professionalism
