Hucklebug Preschool Inc. is looking for a full-time educator to work at our before and after school programs in Norwood.

The job requires the successful candidate to work a split shift before and after school with additional hours to make a 7-hour day at a different site.

Job Details The program educator will be required to care for children Kindergarten to age 12, Monday to Friday split shift with additional hours in between. The candidate will be required to be flexible to move between sites. Transportation is an asset.

- observe and document children with special attention to health and well being
- create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- attending staff/team meetings and career development that occur outside of regularly scheduled hours
- Knowing and complying with all of Hucklebug Preschool Inc. policies and procedures

Requirements Up to Date Standard First Aid and CPR

Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sectors must be completed before time of hire

Up to date Immunization Record





Ability to maintain confidentiality

Skills

- Ability to plan and program activities for children between the ages of 0-12.
- Ability to comply with Ministry of Education Standards and Practices
- Ability to provide a safe and warm environment for the children
- Ability to work effectively with a team or independently
- Shows excellent responsibility and ability to be left alone with a group of school aged children
- Ability to communicate in a number of ways including, oral, hand written, text/typed communications with team, families, and children
- Willing to Work Flexible Hours
- Experience working with children ages 0-12 an asset

Wage This position will start at $19.00-$21.00 based on qualifications (plus applicable wage enhancement and CWELCC wage compensation dollars).
