Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to prevent dental issues.
- Assist in patient examinations by documenting medical histories and current dental concerns with attention to detail.
- Support the dental team during procedures by managing sterilization protocols, chairside assistance, and patient comfort measures.
- Utilize dental practice management software such as Dentrix to schedule appointments, update patient records, and manage billing processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with colleagues on treatment plans for orthodontics, pediatrics, or other specialized care as needed.




- Communicate effectively with bilingual patients to ensure understanding of treatment instructions and oral health education.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards.

Qualifications

- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting, with familiarity using Dentrix or similar practice management software.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures to support clinical operations effectively.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care.
- Experience providing care for pediatric patients and managing orthodontic cases is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that puts patients at ease.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a rapid-paced environment.
