Join Parkland School Division as a full-time School Counsellor/Psychologist at Spruce Grove Composite High School, providing impactful mental health services to support student wellness. Your work will directly enhance students' emotional and social abilities. This position emphasizes counselling, without psychoeducational assessments, requiring a Master's degree and a minimum of three years of counseling experience.
You will provide targeted and universal programs while working collaboratively with school staff and community agencies to support student needs. Must be a Registered Psychologist to apply. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual and group counselling sessions
- Conduct crisis interventions and assessments
- Maintain relationships with external support agencies
- Offer workshops on wellness strategies for staff
- Engage in reflective practice and career development Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or related area
- 3+ years of experience in school-based counselling
- Registered with the Alberta College of Psychologists
- Knowledge of community resources and referrals
