General Laborer - Simpson's Scrap Metal Recycling

We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded general laborer to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

- Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment

- Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage

- Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.

- Accurately label and tag products

- Maintain a clean and tidy work area

- Upkeeping safety procedures





- Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management

- Other labor duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience around heavy equipment is an asset

- Previous experience of heavy lifting general labor an asset

- Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently

- Full PPE (CSA Steel toes, Gloves, Glasses, safety Vest, Hard Hat)

- Safety driven mindset

- Clear communication skills

- Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM and every other Saturday from 8am - 12pm

Payrate: $18.00/hr

Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
