The General Services Worker is a flexible operational position responsible for performing a variety of duties based on the day-to-day requirements of the company and its clients.

The employee may be assigned to different projects, work sites, contracts, and service areas depending on operational needs. Duties may change from day to day and may include janitorial services, moving services, deliveries, general labour, building maintenance support, snow removal, warehouse work, and other related duties.

The employee is expected to be adaptable and willing to perform a broad range of tasks safely, professionally, and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Performing janitorial and general cleaning duties at commercial, residential, and other facilities.
- Assisting with residential and commercial moving, including packing, loading, unloading, and placement of furniture, equipment, and other materials.
- Performing general labour and material-handling duties.
- Picking up, transporting, and delivering materials, supplies, equipment, mail, or other items as assigned.
- Assisting with building maintenance, minor repairs, and general property maintenance.
- Performing snow removal, shovelling, salting, and other seasonal property maintenance.
- Assisting with warehouse operations, organization, inventory, loading, and unloading.
- Setting up, moving, assembling, or removing furniture, equipment, and materials.
- Cleaning and preparing vacant units, work sites, and facilities.
- Assisting skilled workers or other employees with projects and maintenance activities where appropriate.
- Operating company vehicles, tools, machinery, and equipment when authorized and appropriately trained.
- Responding to scheduled,



unscheduled, or urgent service requirements when assigned.
- Completing work at different company and client locations.
- Following site-specific procedures, client requirements, and instructions provided by management or supervisors.
- Completing work records, checklists, delivery records, inspection forms, or other documentation as required.
- Reporting property damage, safety concerns, equipment problems, incidents, or other issues to management.
- Maintaining company vehicles, equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performing other reasonable duties and operational tasks assigned by management based on the needs of the business.

Flexibility of Duties The General Services Worker position is intended to support multiple areas of the company's operations. The employee understands that their duties, assignments, schedules, work locations, and responsibilities may vary according to operational requirements. The employee may be assigned work outside their regular or usual duties where reasonably required by the company, provided the employee is capable of performing the work safely and any required training, certification, equipment, or supervision has been provided.

Assignment of a particular duty or service area does not necessarily make that duty or service area the employee's permanent or exclusive responsibility.

Work Locations





Work may be performed at company facilities, client properties, residential properties, commercial buildings, construction or renovation sites, warehouses, outdoor locations, and other locations where the company provides services.

Physical Requirements

Depending on the assignment, the employee may be required to:

- Lift, carry, push, pull, move, and handle materials, furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental and weather conditions.
- Use hand tools, cleaning equipment, moving equipment, snow-removal equipment, and other equipment appropriate to assigned duties.

Qualifications and Requirements The employee must:
- Be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Be willing and able to perform a variety of physical and operational duties.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain skilled conduct while working at client locations.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain any licences, certifications, security clearances, or other qualifications required for duties assigned to them.
- Hold a valid driver's licence where driving is a requirement of the position.
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment when authorized to do so.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
