Schedule This is a full-time position requiring flexible availability.

- Monday through Sunday
- Shifts scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 9:15 p.m.
- Availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays is required

What You'll Do As a General Services Clerk, you'll help ensure our store remains clean, safe, and welcoming for both customers and team members.

Your responsibilities include

- Keep buildings and property clean, organized, and well maintained
- Perform routine maintenance and heavy cleaning duties throughout the store
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors
- Empty garbage and recycling containers
- Clean, sanitize, and restock washrooms
- Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces according to food safety standards
- Dust furniture, fixtures, walls, and equipment
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass, and partitions
- Safely mix, handle, and use cleaning chemicals following WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety guidelines




- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery according to established procedures
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supply inventory
- Notify management of maintenance repairs or building concerns
- Perform snow removal and salt sidewalks and walkways when required
- Keep exterior areas clean and free of garbage or hazards
- Represent Italian Centre Shop professionally both inside and outside the store
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and company procedures
- Support the team with other duties as required

What We're Looking For We're happy to train the right person, but successful candidates typically have:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least one year of experience in a customer-focused role
- A positive attitude and robust work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain professional while working in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Working Conditions

This position involves

- A variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Exposure to refrigerated and freezer areas
- Working with cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals
- Occasional outdoor work, including snow removal and salting walkways
- Interacting professionally with customers during busy periods

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and repetitive movements
- Ability to perform manual labour throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently lift, move, and push up to 50 lbs
