The Governance Policy
Analyst will contribute to advancing Oneida’s interests through careful analysis and the articulation of complex information. Candidates should possess a degree in Political Science or a relevant field, with 1-2 years of experience, preferably in First Nations advocacy. A strong skill set in research, written communication, and Microsoft Office is essential for success in this crucial position. Key Responsibilities:
- Support advocacy priorities and policies for Oneida Nation
- Analyze provincial and national policy initiatives
- Prepare written documents like briefing notes and work plans
- Collaborate with Chief and Council on policy matters
- Distill large information sets into digestible reports Requirements:
- Degree in Political Science, Social Science, or Indigenous Studies
- 1-2 years relevant experience in policy analysis
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Must complete a Criminal Record check before employment Be a part of advocating for meaningful change and progress within the Oneida community.
