An innovator in technology, based in Germany, has steadily grown its North American headquarters out of Canada. They are the technology leader with about 10% of the North American market share in their industry. They have a strong commitment to their employees, a history of no layoffs, and long-term employee retention.

We are seeking someone to manage HR in Canada, the US, and Mexico(serving 85 employees total) while supporting the North American President and CEO as their right hand. This position requires fluency in German and English to support corporate reporting. As the Assistant to the CEO, this position serves as a conduit for financial, business, and operational matters and as a key contact on issues, helping to advise the CEO on policy and decisions.

Required for this role is German fluency and Canadian HR experience. Outside resources help inform HR decisions/policy in other jurisdictions. Non-HR duties range from policy development and communications to report development, organizing meetings and agendas, and travel arrangements.

As the sole HR practitioner,



this position oversees all HR activities, including Policy development, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and more.

While this position is required to be on-site, the management style promotes individual initiative and collaboration, allowing people to run with ideas and projects without daily supervision. The right candidate will take the initiative to seek out solutions. We seek someone with a team focus and the interpersonal communication skills to build relationships internally and with managers in the German parent organization alike.
