Jim Pattison Hyundai Northshore is looking for an Apprentice Technician to join our Service Department.
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians while gaining hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. This is a great opportunity for an apprentice who is eager to learn, build their skills, and grow their career in the automotive industry.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in developing their technical skills. You’ll receive ongoing support, training, and mentorship as you continue your apprenticeship.

Previous automotive shop or dealership experience is considered an asset
Valid BC Driver’s License with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is an asset
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive shop environment
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for extended periods
High level of mobility, dexterity, and awareness when working around vehicles and shop equipment
Working Conditions Indoor automotive shop setting with multiple service bays
Exposure to noise from engines and air tools, as well as vehicle exhaust, dust, and cleaning products
Work performed around moving vehicles, hoists, and heavy equipment
Shop temperatures may vary depending on season and ventilation conditions What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation: $27.82 to $35.33 hourly flat rate depending on certification and level of experience.
