We are looking for an Intermediate Java EE Developer for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Regina, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Position is available as in office location. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

Role Description

We are seeking an intermediate Java Developer responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and building scalable applications aligned with business goals, and ensuring high-quality delivery through testing, debugging, and Agile collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and related technologies, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and continuously improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities

- Analyze user requirements to inform application design.
- Define application objectives and functionality.
- Align application design with business goals.
- Create high level and detailed designs.
- Adhere to SI development and testing standards.
- Develop and unit test.
- Debug and remediate technical problems.
- Recommending changes to existing infrastructure.
- Develop multimedia applications.
- Develop and create documentation to assist users.
- Provide demonstrations.
- Participate in peer reviews.
- Participate in Sprint planning, stand- ups and retrospectives.
- Ensure continuous professional self-development.

Required Skills and Experience





- Education and training normally gained through post-secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of the following: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer medium to large size projects.
- Minimum 5 years of J Unit.
- Minimum 3 years of Spring Boot and or Angular.
- Minimum 3 years experience with Maven/ Git, Database UI.
- Minimum 3 years of JSF 2.1.
- Minimum 3 years of JPA 2.0 using Hibernate.
- Proven experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects or one larger complex project including but not limited to project solution design, development, and testing.
- Previous experience and thorough knowledge in Agile and Agile/Hybrid methodology.
- Minimum of 3 years of IT and/or telecom experience preferred (wireline, wireless, converged). (Note: Relevant experience within the last 7 years).
- Previous experience with AI tools is an asset.
