About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Mobile Developer to help build and enhance video streaming experiences for Android and iOS. You’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to develop high-quality mobile applications, improve performance, and contribute to the evolution of our OTT platform.

What You'll Own/Do:

- Build Mobile Experiences: Develop, test, and maintain mobile video applications for Android and iOS, contributing to features that deliver smooth, reliable streaming experiences.
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work alongside experienced developers, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.
- Improve Performance & Quality: Identify opportunities to improve app performance, reliability, and user experience through thoughtful development and testing practices.
- Learn & Contribute to Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives while growing your mobile development expertise.
- Explore New Technologies: Assist in evaluating current mobile frameworks, streaming technologies, and tools that help improve our applications and development process.

What We Require for this Role:

- 1–3 years of experience developing Android applications, with strong interest in mobile development
- Solid experience with Kotlin and modern Android development practices (Android SDK, Jetpack, Jetpack Compose)
- Good understanding of Java and Android application fundamentals
- Experience building scalable,



modular Android applications using clean architecture principles
- Experience with iOS (Objective-C, Swift, or SwiftUI) is a plus
- Experience contributing to modular, reusable UI frameworks or plugin-based architectures
- Proven track record of delivering performant, user-centric mobile apps at scale.

Bonus Points for Candidates Who Have:

- Experience with live or VOD video streaming platforms
- Cross-platform development experience (Android/iOS/Smart TV: Tizen, WebOS).
- Understanding of multimedia transport protocols (e.g., RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, HLS/DASH).
- Top-Tier Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a 4-yr accredited institution globally ranked in the top 500 universities.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

65,000 - 75,000 CAD per year (Vancouver)
