We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team.

Type: Onsite (does not support remote work accommodation)

Location: Oldcastle, ON

Term: Permanent Full time

Remuneration: $50,000 to 65,000 a year to commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day financial operations; Identify financial risks and Preparation of month-end closing; Ensure compliance with all governing statutory, regulatory bodies

Accounts Payable

· Enter invoices

· Match to packing slip

· Cheque runs

· Vendor account maintenance

Accounts Receivable

· Account reconciliations

· Collections/aging summary

· Customer follow up

· Manage incoming payments/ post/ record transactions

Accounting

· Bank reconciliation

· Month End/ Financial reporting; maintain general ledger

· HST/VAT/US state sales tax returns

· Commissions

· Budgeting

KPI:

· Month-End Close Timeliness

· Accuracy of Accounting Entries

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP highly preferred).

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and complex formulas.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:



Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in a manufacturing environment.
