Our client is seeking a contract based Junior Quality Engineering Developer that will work across multiple initiatives supporting the QA organization through automation, environment management, AI-powered tooling, scripting, and quality engineering activities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys solving problems, experimenting with new technologies, and building tools that improve efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior QA engineers while learning modern quality engineering practices, AI-assisted testing, automation frameworks, and DevOps processes.

Duration: 6 months + extension Responsibilities

Build Python tools and automation to improve QA productivity.

Develop AI agents and LLM-powered workflows to automate testing and operational tasks.

Create automation using Playwright, Selenium, and modern testing frameworks.

Build scripts for environment refreshes, test data, and deployment validation.

Develop internal QA utilities, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Integrate automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Support testing of web, mobile, API, and backend applications.

Assist with API validation, performance testing, and troubleshooting.

Evaluate new AI, automation, and quality engineering tools.

Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve delivery and quality.





Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

1–3 years of experience in software development, automation, quality engineering, or a related technical role (co-op and internship experience considered).

Experience developing applications or scripts using Python.

Exposure to JavaScript, Java, or other programming languages is an asset.

Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

Understanding of REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman.

Basic knowledge of Git, source control, and CI/CD concepts.

Exposure to Azure, AWS, or cloud-based development environments is an asset.

Interest in AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI agent development.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn current technologies. Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI development tools.

Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.

SQL and database fundamentals.

Linux command-line experience.

Docker or containerized development environments.

Experience building automation utilities or developer tools.

Exposure to cloud-native applications or DevOps practices.
